Hi, I’m Juliana Carter

Hi, I'm Juliana, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of West Georgia. I'm also a proud advocate and member of the LGBTQIA2S+ and BIPOC communities. I genuinely care about helping others lead fulfilling lives, and that's what guided me toward becoming a counselor and coach. In my practice, I focus on creating a space where acceptance, humor, and authenticity are at the forefront, just like how I approach life outside of work—with compassion, humility, and the desire to uplift others.

My Approach

Early in my career, I had the privilege of specializing in anxiety disorders under the guidance of Dr. Rebecca Beaton, a well-renowned Psychologist and anxiety expert, at the Anxiety and Stress Management Institute. During that time, I developed a deep understanding of working with children, adolescents, and adults dealing with social phobia, anxiety, OCD, and relationship challenges. I use behavioral approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), combined with an “inside-out” methodology that fosters self-awareness, meaning-making, and insight into thought patterns, emotions, and core beliefs. I'm a strong advocate for empowering my clients and truly understand how stress and anxiety impact many areas of life—relationships, family, work, finances, and spirituality.

I’m also a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200), where I focus on mindfulness meditation, breath work, and relaxation techniques. I love helping clients tap into the mind-body connection to use both as tools for growth. Through our therapeutic work, I strive to make my clients feel valued and celebrated for who they are. My passion lies in helping people embrace their unique gifts because I truly believe there’s a place in the world for you, just the way you are.
